Because of Her By KE Payne

This is a YA lesbian romance. Seventeen-year-old Tabitha "Tabby" Morton has been forced to move to London thanks to her father's new job. The worst thing for her is that she had to leave her girlfriend Amy, far behind. Rebelling against everything, she is out to make herself and her parents miserable. Wanting nothing more than get out of here and go back.

Gorgeous Eden Palmer is one of the triumvirate that makes up the Mean Girls kind of queen bees of the school.

Tabby is struck by Eden immediately. She discovers that there is more to Eden than the other two bubble heads that she hangs around with. Seemingly, Eden also seems to be drawn to Tabby. Slowly the girls start spending more time together, but Eden refuses to acknowledge Tabby in school…leading to a showdown in school when Tabby is picked on for being a lesbian and Eden stands by quietly.

There is a good ol’ dramatic coming out end-of-book scene.

Now, the thing is, if one has to read about self-discoveries and young romance, the book to read is Annie on My Mind. Everything else pales in comparison. And sadly, comparison is inevitable. The richness of Annie on My Mind a hard act to follow.

However, stand-alone this is one is not bad.
