Just Three Words By Melissa Brayden

This is the second book in the Soho Loft Series. The series follow the lives and romances of four friends: Brooklyn, Samantha, Hunter and Mallory. The first of the series was Kiss the Girl, Brooklyn’s story which had age gap. This one is friends-to-lovers – and definitely amongst the best friends-to-lovers stories.

Samantha is a bookish, accountant type who has just got involved with a prom queen kind of girl. She cannot believe that this is her reality. But it comes crashing down when she gets tunes in to a radio show and hears her girlfriend confessing being in love with someone else. Hunter is the immensely likeable laidback, exotic beauty of the group who is quite a player.

Brooklyn and Sam share an apartment, but Brooklyn is moving in with her girlfriend, Jessica, leaving Sam one roommate short. Hunter moves in. While helping Sam recover some of her self-esteem, Hunter confesses her long buried, once upon a time crush on Sam. With that confession, the buried feelings seem to bubble to the surface again.

Of the three books in the series, this is our favourite. We absolutely love Hunter and the fact she completely goes out on a limb and practically changes herself to be true to her heart. As always, the dynamic between the four girls is fabulous. This series is more about the group and their friendship than about just the romances.

Melissa Brayden is most definitely one of the top five writers in the lesfic romance genre. Her writing is fluid and fun. Her characters are hugely likeable. The stories draw you in totally. And all her books leave your feeling very, very good. Plus, all her books have at least a couple of fabulous sex scenes.
