The Princess Affair By Nell Stark

This is delightful romcom. Light, breezy, engaging and with just the kind of ending that a romcom should have.

Sasha is a dyslexic, closeted, wildly partying, playgirl princess, second in line to ascend the British throne. Kerry, hailing from a middle-class Irish family, is a Rhodes scholar, just arrived from the USA. When the two first meet each other, Sasha is attracted and plans a one-night stand. However, after one scorching kiss, Kerry runs away. Sasha cannot get over that kiss and sets out to find Kerry again. However, their possible relationship is fraught with difficulties arising primarily from the fact that Sasha can probably never come out, given who she is.

The author does a fantastic job in making Sasha truly multi-dimensional with real issues, problems and even low self-worth. She finds an emotional rock in Kerry which makes the relationship plausible and not quite entirely one-sided. Stark lays out the misgivings of both the characters making the reader empathise with them.

This is a really fun, escapist book with super-likeable MCs and awesome sex scenes.
