Three Reasons to Say Yes (Paradise Series #1) by Jaime Clevenger

We’re not quite sure about this one. There are enough things to like in it and many that we totally hate. Amongst things to like are multiracial characters who are not physically amazing-bodied goddesses, well-realised characters and sweet kids.

Julia and Reed meet during a holiday in Hawaii. Julia is vacationing with her two besties and Reed is there with her twin daughters. The attraction is instant and hot. They decide to pursue a no-expectations-attached-with-great-sex relationship. But then, emotions make an entry and it doesn’t remain no-expectations any more. The relationship falls in a vague zone of insta-love and slow-burn.

MC Julia Maguire is a perfect romance heroine. The other MC, Reed Baxter, is everything we dislike in a romantic pairing; a completely non-giving, creating unnecessary angst type of person. The chemistry and sex is wonderful. The unfollowed and unfinished plot line with Julia’s best friends, Kate and Mo is aggravating. The four-year old twins are precocious but cute. Julia’s constant giving Reed chances that she does nothing to deserve is upsetting.

Like we said, we are not quite sure about this one, so while we don’t scream ‘keep away’ we can’t say ‘definitely pick it up’ either.
