Sweetness. Fun. More sweetness. Slapstick. Light. Young. Parent drama. All round feel good.

Posh girl Abby Granger is lured into stealing an exam paper by her flatmate Lacey Kent. Timid Abby is full-on in lust for Lacey and somehow finds herself creeping along to steal. And they get caught. Except that Lacey breaks the window and makes a run for it. As a parting shot Lacey tells Abby not to mention that she (Lacey) as there too or she’d out Abby to her parents. So Abby finds herself doing 200 hours of community service. Hot Lola Morgan comes from the other side of the tracks and has her own issues to deal with. When the social worker in charge, Julie starts picking on Abby, despite herself, Lola finds herself standing up of the scared Abby. Their relationship slowly develops during their ‘sentence’.

Abby and Lola are both such likeable people. Surprisingly, though this is a light romcom, the author explores the personalities of the MCs explaining why they are the way they are quite thoroughly. This makes us understand and empathise with both of them quite effectively. The attraction and chemistry between the MCs is palpable and the romance is so, so sweet.

Definitely, definitely recommended.
