The sins of the father…

Sierra Westmoore returns to her hometown, Maple Run, after fifteen years only to be immediately thrown out of Maple Inn, a B&B where she as a reservation. The family owned Maple Inn is run by Lucy Parsons who has no love lost for the Westmoores because of history between the two fathers. Clueless about what her frankly awful father had done during her absence, the totally lovely Sierra nevertheless is recipient of a lot of negativity, dislike and hate from the town sweetheart Lucy.

Lucy’s hate for the Westmoores is no secret and it affects a lot of people. While the lovely Sienna is a direct receiver of Lucy’s long-held grudge and the resultant ire, it indirectly affects Lucy’s best friend, Hannah, who is dating Sienna’s brother. Plus, the townfolk are unwilling to assimilate the innocent-of-wrongdoing Westmoore siblings because of Lucy’s hate of them.

This is an entertaining enemies-to-lovers book. Sienna is absolutely lovely. We didn’t particularly take to Lucy. The rest of the secondary characters are truly likeable with Hannah’s four-year-old daughter, Chloe and her koala hugs, easily in the adorable zone. But Sienna remains the most likeable of them all.
